From the Table of Contence of OBC: A cornucopia of pyrimidine glycosides is produced in a model prebiotic reaction. Original article is Fialho, Clarke, Moore, Krishnamurthy, Schuster and Hud, Glycosylation of a model proto-RNA nucleobase with non-ribose sugars: Implications for the prebiotic synthesis of nucleosides, Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, 2018, 16, 1263 - 1271.
Dr. Eric Horowitz, Hud Lab Alumnus, had his picture on Times Square to celebrate Voyager Therapeutics going public on NASDAQ. Congratulations to Eric and his co-workers at Voyager!
David Fialho won first place prize in the 2015 AbSciCon student poster competition. David's poster was titled "Synthesis and Self-Assembly of Model Proto-Nucleosides." Second place went to fellow lab member Timothy Lenz, for his poster "Iron(II) and Magnesium Binding to Full-Length LSU rRNA and an Ancestral Core."
Prof. Hud was named Georgia Tech Professor of Excellence. He received his award at the GT-UNC game. Not being much of a football fan, Prof. Hud was fortunate to have his brother there to explain the finer points of the game.
