The research group has broad interests in the synthesis of self-assembling and self-organizing polymers. Potential applications of these materials range from the development of new organic field effect transistors and light emitting diodes to biocompatible materials for tissue engineering and lunar landing vehicles. Current projects include:

     self-assembling polyphilic conjugated polymers

     pi-stacked conjugated oligomers

     bioengineered polymers for tissue engineering
