Research in the Perry group involves a broad range of projects spanning physical chemistry, materials chemistry, optics and photonics, and molecular probes for imaging and sensing. We employ nonlinear and ultrafast laser spectroscopy to acquire  knowledge of properties at the molecular level that is used to guide the development of advanced materials via a bottoms-up approach. Our group studies and develops materials for applications in optical switching and limiting, energy storage and conversion, 3D microfabrication, and imaging and sensing.
