The Peralta-Yahya research group is part of the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry and the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Our group is developing foundational technologies to more rapidly and effectively engineer biological systems for chemical synthesis. We work on three research areas: the development of GPCR-based chemical sensors, the microbial production of alkaloids, and the microbial production of high-density fuels.
