Yadong Zhang
Senior Research Scientist, MS&E Lab 1271
Yadong Zhang received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in organic chemistry and polymer chemistry from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Shanghai, China, in 1989 and 1992, respectively.
He joined The Institute of Physical and chemical Research (RIKEN) from 1990 to 1998 in organic nonlinear optical material research. From 1998 to 2001, he was a research scientist with The University of Arizona. He joined NP Photonics Inc. from 2001 to 2004 in integrated optical device research and development. From 2004 to 2006, he was a principal research chemist with Focal Point Microsystems. He joined Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006 and is currently a senior research scientist with Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. His research interests are in developing charge transporting polymer materials, photo-crosslinking materials, and photon active function molecules for EO applications as well as micro- and nanofabrication applications.
