Researh Activities

Synthesis and application of photosensitive polymers

: design and synthesis of polymers for electronics, resist, lithography, and printing

Molecular design and synthesis of functional polymers

: design and synthesis of macromolecules with functional group as a side chain having different polarity and/or reactivity from backbone chains

Surface and interfacial properties, and surface modification of polymers for applications to information and electronics

:design, synthesis, and modification (ex.: UV-exposing, rubbing, lithography, embossing, imprinting, deposition, and doping) of high-performance polymers such as polyaniline, polyimides, polyester, polyamide and so on.

Characterization of properties of synthesized polymers for applications

:thermal, electrical, and optical properties of synthesized polymers using various methods
